OUR HISTORY

BO&MIE is first of all the story of a meeting on the benches of the School of Gastronomy FERRANDI : that of Magali and Jean-François – the two of us then students in the Bakery course for adults undergoing retraining – we decided to unite our efforts to create the Bakery that resembles us.

Magali Szekula

Former lawyer at the Hospitals of Paris, decided in 2015 to change her life to start baking and pastry. She then enrolled at the Ecole Ferrandi where she obtained her CAP Pâtisserie after having completed several internships in major Parisian houses including the Grande Épicerie de Paris. Bakery specialist, Magali will sign the entire range of breads at the opening of the 1st BO&MIE!

Jean-Francois Bandet

After having co-created the combat sports brand Venum (official equipment supplier of the UFC), Jean-François wanted to embark on a new challenge in keeping with his passion for gastronomy: launching his own brand of Bakery and Pastry 100% artisanal in France then abroad around strong values: 100% homemade, a creative, qualitative and accessible offer to the greatest number!

2017 / Opening of our first Bakery in Paris

Opening of BO&MIE Turbigo on November 9, 2017 at 18 Rue de Turbigo in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris with a team of 5 employees: 1 pastry chef, 1 baker, 1 cook and 2 sales advisers with a 100% homemade offer of breads, pastries, pastries and snacks.

2019/2020 - Two new Shops in Paris

Opening of BO&MIE Saint Martin in July 2019 at 359 rue Saint Martin (75003) in place of a former textile wholesaler. Then, in October 2020, right in the middle of COVID, the opening of BO&MIE Rivoli: the largest bakery in Paris, located just across from the Louvre.

2021 / Our Bakery Shop Expands Internationally

First steps abroad with the opening of BO&MIE Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, located right in front of Gaudí’s masterpiece.
A team of 15 employees prepares all BO&MIE recipes on-site, 100% handmade in the traditional way.

2022 / Launch of the Book on Our Bakeries in Paris

Opening of the 1st BO&MIE Rive Gauche in Paris at 5/7 boulevard Saint-Michel.

Launch of our first book: "BO&MIE, Creative Bakery" 

2024 / Production moved to a laboratory in Clichy

Opening of a new store at Hôtel de Ville in May and a 2000m2 production laboratory for all our teams.BO&MIE heads to the sun with the opening of a bakery and pastry shop at the Aix-en-Provence train station!

2025 / New Projects Ahead...

The BO&MIE adventure continues with an opening in January on Boulevard Montmartre in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, and another in Saudi Arabia this fall!
